When we first created Wedfuly, to be honest, we didn’t even think of Wedfully. We weren’t trying to say, wed to your fullest potential or have a wedding that is full, we were thinking tech + wedding.
Everytime my Mimi (what I call my Grandma) calls me to ask about our company, she always asks why she can’t find it on Google. “Why can’t I find you when I google Wedfuly?” And everytime it’s the same mistake. She spells it ‘Wedfully’. Wedding + fully. Like beautifully, truthfully, delightfully. All ending in fully. Makes sense right?
When we first created Wedfuly, to be honest, we didn’t even think of Wedfully. We weren’t trying to say, wed to your fullest potential or have a wedding that is full, we were thinking tech + wedding. Lots of tech companies created a made up word for the logo and a lot of those words ended in ‘ly’- Bitly, Loverly, Vestly, Calendly. So for us, Wedfuly (one ‘L’) was the obvious choice. As time went on and we morphed from just a name to a company, Wedfuly became our identity. And as time went on, Wedfully became more of an issue. People would spell our name with two L’s sporadically, but not enough to make us worried. And then we started running into random other Wedfullys, like Wedfully Fit or Wedfully Yours- small vendors or individuals doing things in the wedding industry. Nothing a quick phone call couldn’t fix or clear up!
But I wanted to clear the air for my Mimi and everyone else who keeps wanting to associate us or change us to Wedfully. We’re Wedfuly, not Wedfully. We are a wedding tech company that is changing this whole wedding thing. We are making professional wedding planners accessible to all couples and all budgets. Of course we want our clients to wed fully, but what we really want is for them to wed whatever way they want to! Wed fully, wed bohemian-ly, wed classically, you wed the way you want to, but we will help you do that, stress free. Now that that’s over with, let’s get boogying and start planning your wedding!
